What Zephyr does

Zephyr is an iOS application that allows you to monitor and manage a TrueNAS SCALE server on your local network. The app communicates directly and exclusively with the TrueNAS instance you configure — no third-party servers, relay services, or cloud infrastructure are involved.

Data we collect

We collect no data whatsoever. Specifically:

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No crash reporting sent to any external service
• No advertising identifiers
• No personal information of any kind
• No account creation or registration required

Credentials and local storage

If you choose to save your TrueNAS credentials within the app, they are stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain on your device using Apple's secure credential storage APIs. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Your TrueNAS server address and any other configuration you enter is stored locally on your device only.

Network communication

Zephyr communicates only with the TrueNAS server address you provide. All network requests are made directly from your device to your server. We do not route, proxy, log, or intercept any of this traffic.

You are responsible for the security of your own network and TrueNAS instance.

Third-party services

Zephyr uses no third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud services. The only external party involved in distributing this app is Apple, through the App Store. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy.

Children's privacy

Zephyr is a technical utility app intended for adults managing home server infrastructure. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date at the top. We will not introduce data collection practices without making that clear.
